Seaplane to Katmai NP

From Lake Hood in Anchorage we flew in a 10 passenger plane to Katmai NP. WOWWW. Flew near Spur Mountain that has been spewing smoke for months and people are quite concerned it will erupt soon. 






Our pilot flew over a Glacier.



Landing in the lake by Katmai NP was amazing. The park ranger gave us information to stay safe in a park filled with hungry brown bears. We had move off the trail to avoid close encounters with bears 3 times.









On our return trip the pilot flew over glaciers, waterfalls and herds of Caribou.
