Wildfires close the Alcan highway

June 2 we are staying in Fort Nelson instead of soaking in the Liard hot spring. An out of control wildfire has closed 60 miles of the highway between Fort Nelson and Liard hot springs. We hope the firefighters are safe and we can travel north again tomorrow.  We are safe 50 miles south of the fire in an RV park because a kind little old lady came up our camper at the IGA and warned us the highway was just closed.

UPDATE ON BROKEN FRONT CAMPER WINDOW. The flex seal tape has held through 3, 000 miles of rain and wind. The shattered window is still intact under the plexiglass.

We're enjoying your blog! Glad you've got a good stopping place while you wait for the wind to clear the smoke. I bet you're doing your rain dance :-) XOXO
